Our Trees

We supply Noble Fir and Nordmann Fir transplants ranging from approx 8" in height, these are plug cell grown the advantages of plug cell grown plants are,

1, They can be planted out in the field from August onwards.

2, Planting out in August means that the soil is still warm from the summer.

3, This encourages some root growth before winter sets in.

4, Due to the extra root growth they should grow away *quicker* come the spring time, *subject to planting conditions.

5, Planting in August also means that you are not planting plants into cold, wet, possible frozen soil which can sometimes have adverse effects on any plants, due to freezing of roots, water logging, etc.

Nordmann Fir (Abies Nordmanniana) has been used for many years in Europe, and is one of the most commonly grown Christmas tree species in Germany and Norway. Nordmann Fir is a true fir tree native to the Republic of Georgia and northern Turkey.

Nordmann Fir have beautiful soft shiny needles with a deep green colour laid out in even rows on the twig. They are very durable so they last exceptionally well, usually keeping well into January. Because the branches are evenly spaced and very strong, they are perfect for showing off special large or heavy Christmas ornaments.
